Community Behavioral Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Advisor to join our team. As a Physician Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing clinical leadership and oversight of the clinical management of our members.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide consultation on overall quality of care, medical decision making, case formulations, and medication safety concerns.
- Collaborate with providers and system stakeholders on clinical and medical matters, including member placement, coordination of care, and quality concerns.
- Participate in quality reviews, clinical and administrative meetings, and training and education sessions.
- Review cases from multiple sites and levels of care for medical necessity and perform peer review cases for disputed levels of care.
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- PA Licensure; Board Certified in Adult or Child Psychiatry
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical psychiatry experience, including significant experience with inpatient care and substance abuse treatment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and decision making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to travel within the City of Philadelphia
- Regularly requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and/or repetitive wrist/hand movements
- Ability to utilize computers and office equipment to complete daily work responsibilities
