Job Title: Patient Safety Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Safety Assistant to join our team at JPS Health Network. As a Patient Safety Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe and monitor patients identified to be at risk for self-injury, fall, and/or otherwise behaviorally impaired.
  • Notify the patient's nurse when the patient displays actions or behaviors suggesting the patient will cause harm to themselves or others.
  • Attend to patients' activities of daily living and obtain and report vital signs and intake and output to the primary nurse.
  • Document patient behavior according to District policy during their assigned shift using all required forms or reporting systems as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Approved Patient Safe Handling Course within 90 days of hire.
  • Current JPS recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and must be maintained throughout employment.
