About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Central Mountain operation, you will be responsible for leading complex water resources projects and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement hydrologic and hydraulic models to support project design and analysis
  • Conduct flood hazard mitigation analysis and risk data analysis to inform project decisions
  • Lead project teams and mentor junior engineers to ensure successful project delivery
  • Review and ensure the technical quality of project deliverables
  • Foster collaboration and participate in technical discussions with team members
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders through oral presentations and written reports
Requirements
  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field; MS preferred
  • Colorado PE license required; CFM certification a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources/civil engineering
  • Local municipal experience, including stream restoration and flood studies, a plus
  • Familiarity with National Flood Insurance Program and FEMA flood insurance study regulations
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Project management experience
