Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering food products to our customers in a safe and timely manner. This is a great opportunity to work for a leading food distributor and be part of a team that delivers delicious food to independent restaurants and hotels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver food products to customers in a safe and timely manner
  • Communicate with customers and vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • Load and unload food products from trailers and transport them to designated customer storage areas
  • Verify delivery of products with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required and load customer returns onto trailer
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean

Requirements:

  • 12 months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL A
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
