The Role

We are seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to manage structural design of multi-discipline projects from the proposal stage through to completion. This includes establishment and maintenance of budgets and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide structural design of small to large commercial, hydroelectric, and industrial projects.
  • Work in a team environment with our other structural department personnel, management, and administrative staff to prepare tender and construction documents or reports.
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Mentor junior staff and manage support personnel as required.

About You

We are looking for an applicant bringing forward a good mix of qualifications and previous experiences. Some highlights could include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering specializing in structural design from a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering with demonstrated technical and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with vibration and dynamic analysis of concrete and steel structures using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Software.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Washington and eligibility for registration in California and other states.
  • Previous consulting experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to and meet the challenges of a variety of different projects from clients in many different industries.
