The Service Writer / Parts Specialist will be responsible for managing customer inquiries related to parts and services, ensuring prompt and accurate assistance. This role involves coordinating with our technical team, advising customers on maintenance and repair options, and managing inventory to ensure parts availability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and assisting customers in person, over the phone, and via email, providing expert advice on marine parts and services.
  • Assessing customer needs, providing accurate cost estimates, and scheduling service appointments.
  • Collaborating with technicians to ensure a seamless transition from customer inquiry to service completion.
  • Maintaining and managing inventory of marine parts, ordering new stock as needed.
  • Identifying and recommending parts and accessories for a variety of marine vehicles.
  • Processing sales transactions and managing cash, credit, and electronic payments efficiently.
  • Updating customer records in the system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Fostering a positive customer experience by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Staying informed about industry trends and new products to provide knowledgeable service.

Requirements include:

  • Previous experience in a service advisor or parts role within a marina or automotive environment is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer applications.
