We are seeking Automotive Service Manager Trainees/General Service Technicians to fulfill a dual role in both customer service and technical operations. This position serves as a developmental opportunity towards becoming a Store Manager while primarily focusing on performing essential services such as oil changes and basic maintenance, alongside training in customer interaction, appointment scheduling, and service consultations. Midas is dedicated to the professional growth of our associates and emphasizes internal promotions.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Automotive Service Manager Trainee/General Service Technician at Midas, you will act as the right-hand support to the Store Manager, engaging in both front-end and back-end operations as required. Your duties will encompass:
  • Providing outstanding customer service by actively listening and advising customers
  • Following up with clients regarding services requested and estimated completion times
  • Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and making informed recommendations, including creating computerized repair orders and sourcing necessary parts
  • Communicating pricing estimates to customers while promoting service specials
  • Leading, managing, and training team members in alignment with the company's vision and core values
  • Supervising a team of up to ten employees
  • Overseeing technicians in their inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of various vehicle makes
  • Maintaining accurate inventory counts
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the service facility
  • Performing basic technician tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Completing other assigned duties as necessary
Qualifications:
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years in a store or service management role
  • General knowledge of automotive systems
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Leadership and team-building skills
  • Ability to follow established processes and directions
  • Proficiency in using computers and relevant software
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver's license required
