Job Summary:

A Professional Registered Nurse is needed to work in Oncology at a well-known Medical Center located in New York. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Medical Oncology Nursing experience and be certified in the area of specialty.

Responsibilities:

Performs chemo, therapeutic treatments, and blood transfusions and phlebotomy procedures.
Provides and coordinates the care of patients/families and significant others in the ambulatory care setting.
Assesses, diagnoses, plans, and intervenes in actual or potential health problems.
Evaluates patient outcomes through return demonstration and/or verbalization of understanding.
Maintains an environment that is conducive to meeting patient care needs and that facilitates patient flow.
Promotes and provides for patient safety in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Requirements:

Current NY State Registered Nurse License
BCLS, ACLS required
Minimum 2 years Medical Oncology Nursing Experience Required
Certification in area of specialty is highly recommended
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Active Chemotherapy- Biotherapy Provider Card required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
