Oncology Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:
Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse position available at Axelon. The successful candidate will provide and coordinate patient care in an outpatient setting, assessing, diagnosing, planning, and intervening in actual or potential health problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform chemo, therapeutic treatments, and blood transfusions and phlebotomy procedures.
- Provide and coordinate patient care, including evaluation of patient response to care.
- Triage all sick and walk-in patients.
- Communicate test results and follow up with patients.
- Administer medications and blood products.
- Perform treatments such as chemotherapy administration and conscious sedation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current NY State Registered Nurse License.
- Minimum 2 years Medical Oncology Nursing Experience.
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Active Chemotherapy-Biotherapy Provider Card required.
- Certification in area of specialty is highly recommended.
Certifications & Licenses:
- ACLS.
- Infection Control.
- Oncology Nursing.
- Phlebotomist.
- Registered Nurse.
- Registered Nurse License.
