Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to support our Controller in various complex financial and accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting finance transformation initiatives, participating in month-end close activities, and championing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial and accounting team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation and Review: Participate in key process improvement initiatives, including financial statement preparation and review, salary and salary-related accounting and analysis, production bonus accounting and related analysis.
  • Month-End Close Activities: Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation and/or review of accounting journal entries, account analysis, preparation of schedules for various expenses, and preparation and/or review of account reconciliations as assigned.
  • Internal Controls and Asset Safeguarding: Support the Controller in maintaining internal controls and safeguarding of assets.
  • System Administration: Serve as system administrator for key accounting software applications.
  • Year-End Audit Process: Participate in the year-end audit process with effective planning and coordination between the financial and accounting team and external auditors.
  • Annual Budget Process: Participate in the annual budget process; work with the Controller and Finance Director to formulate appropriate budget assumptions; maintain a thorough understanding of the budget to facilitate variance analysis throughout the year.
  • Other Duties: Other duties as assigned to support financial and accounting initiatives and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience, ideally beginning in a Big Four public accounting firm, consulting firm, or financial and accounting group.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel; experience utilizing ERP system; proficiency with NetSuite a strong plus; knowledge of OneStream a strong plus.
  • Knowledge: Extreme understanding of GAAP and experience dealing with complex accounting issues.
  • Desired Skills: Responds timely to inquiries and information requests; sets continually higher goals for both him/herself and the team that are ambitious but realistic; champions process improvement efforts to drive efficiency and effectiveness; adopts IT solutions and technology to improve team effectiveness; willing and able to dive into the details to accomplish objectives; excellent leadership, communications (verbal, presentation, and written) and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
