Job Overview

Salt + Smoke is a premier dining establishment seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.


Responsibilities

We are looking for an organized and efficient individual to perform a variety of tasks including:

  • Dishwashing: Operate dish washing machine, wash dishes, pots, and pans, utensils, glasses, silverware, and other equipment.
  • Sanitation and Cleaning: Maintain the cleanliness and storage of all china, glassware, and silverware by adhering to strict sanitation standards. Clean walls, tables, racks, sinks, floor mats, and disposal area. Sweep and mop floors.
  • Maintenance: Operate steam cleaner, mop, and cleaning supplies. Keep floors clean and dry, pick up wet spills immediately.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and be on feet for extended periods, carry and lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varied climate conditions.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $35,000 - $40,000 per year, depending on experience, and a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. As a valued member of our team, you will receive opportunities for growth and professional development.


Education and Experience
