Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Intervention Specialist performs a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including coronary and peripheral interventions, electrophysiology studies, and vascular access procedures.


Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Obtain and review patient requisitions, review worksheets and questionnaires, interview patients to obtain history and information, explain procedures to obtain consent, transfer patients to examination tables, and ensure proper positioning.
  • Imaging and Analysis: Analyze digital images for quality, perform quantitative analysis, and review patient's condition to determine proper exposure factors.
  • Procedure Assistance: Assist in performing cardiovascular, vascular, electrophysiology, and hybrid procedures, start and maintain intravenous and intra-arterial access, and maintain and remove peripherally inserted central catheters.

Qualifications

Education: Associates of Science degree in Radiological Technology is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Certification & Licensures: MRTBE, ARRT is required. BLS (American Heart Assoc.) and ACLS (American Heart Assoc.) are also required. CI, VI, RCIS certifications are preferred.

Experience: Two years of competency as a general radiographer or six months as a certified specialist is preferred.

This position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities, and be adaptable to changing situations.
