Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist Team Lead - Women's Pavilion Nights is a critical role at AdventHealth Tampa, responsible for coordinating and supervising all aspects of Respiratory Therapy within the Women's Health Pavilion. This position requires a strong leader who can develop and maintain relationships with physicians and other referral sources, ensuring compliance with established pulmonary programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise Respiratory Therapy services in the Women's Health Pavilion, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians and other referral sources, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with established pulmonary programs, including monitoring and reporting on patient outcomes and quality metrics.
  • Supervise and mentor Respiratory Therapists, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care and departmental performance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and departmental operations.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and training, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with a minimum of an AS/AAS degree.
  • Current National Board of Respiratory Care Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
  • Minimum of three (3) years acute care experience with 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Neonatal and Pediatric services.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications per American Heart Association/American Academy of Pediatrics.
  • Current valid Florida State license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

This role is based in the Women's Health Pavilion at AdventHealth Tampa, a leading healthcare provider in the region. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities to ensure seamless patient care and departmental operations.
