Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration: Administer and maintain multiple Ignition SCADA systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Scripting and Development: Develop and implement advanced scripting solutions to customize and optimize the SCADA platform.
  • Automation and Integration: Write and maintain Python scripts to automate tasks and enhance system functionality.
  • Database Management: Utilize SQL knowledge to manipulate and query databases for data analysis and reporting.
  • Data Integrity: Assist in the normalization and standardization of large data overhauls to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement user-friendly SCADA screens.
Requirements
  • Ignition Experience: 5+ years of development experience with Ignition.
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years oil and gas industry experience, upstream preferred.
  • System Design and Development: Experience on large scale design and development of HMI and SCADA systems built around the Ignition platform.
  • Complex Architecture: Experience in implementing complex architecture with on-premises Ignition SCADA system and troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Device Interfaces: Experience working with various device interfaces like OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT etc.
  • Scada Solutions: Experience designing and building Scada solutions, ideally with Ignition.
  • Integration: Experience Integrating SCADA with Allen-Bradley, Emerson ROC, ABB TotalFlow PLCs.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in higher-level programming languages such as C#/.NET, SQL, Python, and JavaScript.
Helpful Skills and Experience
  • Certifications: Ignition Core and Gold Certification.
  • Cygnet Scada Software: Experience with Cygnet Scada software.
  • Enterprise Data Pipelines: Experience integrating SCADA data into enterprise data pipelines.
  • Large Datasets: Experience with large datasets.
  • SQL or Oracle Databases: Familiarity with SQL or Oracle databases.
  • Travel: Travel to client sites every week (on average one night per week) to provide on-site support and assistance.
  • Self-Motivation: Act as a self-motivated, self-starter capable of working independently and in a team.
  • Technical Challenges: Effectively address technical challenges, formulate plans, and execute them within specified timelines.
  • Custom Scripting: Execute intermediate custom scripting to meet project requirements.
