Job Description:

This role is a vital part of our operations team at Peeples Industries, Inc. As an Operations Assistant - Inventory Management, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of inventory management within our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Clerical duties including data entry, record-keeping, and report preparation.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records in spreadsheets and reports.
  • Update electronic parts files to ensure timely access to information.
  • Provide support with data entry and organizing existing data in a spreadsheet format.
  • Operate common office equipment such as scanners and printers.
  • Organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically.
  • Use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports.
  • Ensure strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Maintain attention to detail and organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Assist the supervisor in processing weekly stock orders.
  • Verify credits received for returned parts.
  • Return parts and cores in a timely manner and follow up for receipt of credit.
  • Match purchase orders and invoices, approve, and forward to the accounting office.
  • File company copies of parts counter invoices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to professional standards.
  • Pick up and deliver parts and equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate with the supervisor before leaving to ensure any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries are handled.
  • Verify invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
  • Keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Maintain the truck by checking oil levels, filling the tank with gas, and performing regular inspections.
  • Help with stocking and posting orders upon arrival to expedite delivery to shop technicians and notify relevant parties when special-order parts arrive.
  • Ability to apply common understanding to execute detailed but uninvolved instructions.
  • Able to lift up to 30lbs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
