Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled NDT Level 2 Technician to join our team at General Dynamics Ordnance & Tactical Systems. As a key member of our Mesquite team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing non-destructive testing methods to evaluate the properties and conformance of materials, components, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform non-destructive tests on objects or materials to examine and attest functionality and performance.
  • Identify errors and defects in equipment.
  • Use ultrasound, radiography, or other techniques during the testing process.
  • May be responsible for testing mechanical components, storage, or transport vessels.
Requirements
  • Vocational/Technical Training Degree.
  • 0-3 years prior experience.
  • NAS 410 Certification Level 1.
  • UT Level 2 Certification with a minimum of 800 hours documented OJT hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with start-ups, project planning, and establishing business processes, management systems, and work instructions.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
