The role of the Quality Assurance Inspection Technician is to conduct routine evaluations on operational equipment in accordance with industry standards and regulations, providing critical inspection data to senior inspectors for analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibility 1: Uphold all SHE objectives and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations for a manufacturing facility.

Primary tasks include:
  • Actively supporting and advocating for the INEOS 20 Principles and a Culture of Prevention.
  • Ensuring all operations comply with established company, local, state, federal, and health safety, and environmental guidelines.
  • Guaranteeing that all maintenance tasks are organized and executed in line with site environmental compliance standards.
  • Implementing safety enhancements on existing processes.
  • Being knowledgeable of and responsive to emergency protocols during operational transitions.
Responsibility 2: Preserve the mechanical integrity of assets through thorough inspections.

Key tasks include:
  • Conducting external NDE as mandated by the preventative maintenance inspection schedule for site equipment.
  • Completing NDT on repairs of fixed equipment on-site.
  • Gathering UT data on piping systems and vessels.
  • Collaborating with maintenance contractors for piping and pressure vessel repairs utilizing PT, MT, and VT.
  • Reviewing radiographic film from completed weld repairs.
  • Assisting external NDT contractors with techniques such as Eddy Current, AUT, PAUT, and Radiography Testing.
  • Facilitating site turnaround by performing NDT on repairs and supporting API inspections.
  • Conducting Positive Material Identification of alloy components and materials received on-site.
  • Complying with API, ASME, ANSI, and industry standards.
  • Maintaining awareness of industry standards and emerging trends.
  • Ensuring asset condition aligns with INEOS Asset Care protocols.
Required Qualifications:

Education & Knowledge:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the chemical sector with a focus on NDE inspection of vessels, tanks, and piping.
  • ANST Level II certifications in VT, PT, UT, MT, and RT.
  • Familiarity with applicable RAGAGEPs including API, ASME, and ASTM codes and practices.
  • Certification in Positive Material Identification (PMI).
Experience & Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of applicable RAGAGEPs including API, ASME, and ASTM codes and practices.
  • Understanding of cathodic protection practices and standards.
  • Proficient in updating inspection software with relevant data.
  • Strong writing abilities.
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Competencies & Behavioral Skills:
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and proficiency in using various inspection tools and equipment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of quality control processes.
  • Able to function effectively in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines and frequent priority shifts.
