Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Hydrogeologist/Groundwater Modeler to support hydrogeologic investigations, groundwater modeling, and environmental data visualization tasks for projects across the United States. The position can be remote or based in one of our offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute project tasks, including geologic/hydrogeologic data analysis, modeling, project coordination, and logistics.
  • Develop physical and numerical models to simulate hydraulic/hydrologic processes related to contaminant fate and transport.
  • Compile, interpret, and report data to meet project quality assurance requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports, including complex technical analysis, conceptual site models, and visual data presentations.
  • Present project findings to clients, regulatory agencies, and the public.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, or a relevant field, and at least 5 years of experience in the environmental field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, groundwater and surface water modeling, and 2D and 3D data visualization software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, or a relevant field, and 10+ years of experience in the environmental field.
  • Proficiency in specialized software, such as CTech Earth Volumetric Studio, Golden Software's Surfer, and ArcGIS.
  • Specialized skills/experience in environmental regulatory requirements, environmental statistical methods, and environmental databases.
