We are seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our team in the Folsom, CA office. As a key member of our Water Supply and Hydrogeology Community of Practice, you will play a crucial role in shaping the evolution of our company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new municipal and agricultural water well projects, including well siting, well site ranking, estimating water quality, well yields, and regulatory offset requirements.
  • Lead and develop aquifer well field studies for potable water production, monitoring well design and installation, rehabilitation, and operational strategies that optimize water supplies.
  • Collaborate with the Water Supply and Hydrogeology Community of Practice to support team building, mentoring, and skill development of emerging talent focused on the western US.
  • Support the use of numerical modeling for wetland assessments, basin studies, wellfield management, and recovery analyses in on or more watersheds and effects of groundwater withdrawal on surface and subsurface flows.
  • Support integrated water supply assessments and alternative water supply planning and implementation efforts for understanding occurrence and movement of groundwater, aquifer geometry, and hydraulic characteristics of basins.
  • Support scenario planning and implementation projects for integrated surface and groundwater water management programs and natural systems restoration projects throughout the western US and on other strategic national and opportunities.
  • Support climate change resilience planning and implementation efforts.
  • Support wastewater outfall closure programs, mine effluent management, and carbon sequestration efforts through deep well injection planning and implementation projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field.
  • Professional Geologist licensure in CA required.
  • 15+ years' experience.
  • Established relationships with CA Regional Water Quality Control Board.
  • Experience in use of MODFLOW and MODPATH.
  • Hydrogeologic experience in northern California groundwater basins.
