Position Overview

The role of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk encompasses various responsibilities essential for the efficient flow of goods within the organization. This position is pivotal in ensuring that all shipping and receiving operations are conducted smoothly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify that orders are correctly fulfilled by cross-referencing items and quantities with shipping documents.
  • Ensure that all shipments are appropriately packaged, labeled with shipping details, and loaded onto transport vehicles.
  • Manage the transportation and delivery of materials while maintaining accurate records of all goods shipped, including manifests and bills of lading.
  • Organize, sort, and transfer goods between different locations as needed.
  • Monitor the status of company packages throughout the shipping process, ensuring adherence to proper packing and shipping protocols.
  • Update inventory records regularly and compile reports for management on a weekly or monthly basis.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all shipping and receiving activities.
  • Confirm the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Navy military logistics is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Navy shipping and receiving documentation is essential.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
Security Clearance

Candidates must possess an active SECRET clearance.

Physical Requirements

This position requires physical activities such as walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), sitting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
