Job Overview

The role of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk encompasses various responsibilities essential for the efficient flow of goods within the organization. Key duties include:

  • Verification of Orders: Ensure that all orders are accurately processed by cross-referencing items and quantities against shipping documents.
  • Packaging and Shipping: Responsible for proper packaging and labeling of shipments, ensuring they are ready for transport.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain updated records of inventory and prepare comprehensive reports for management review.
  • Monitoring Shipments: Track company packages throughout the shipping process, ensuring adherence to packing and shipping standards.
  • Record Keeping: Oversee documentation related to shipping and receiving activities, including manifests and bills of lading.

Qualifications
  • Experience in Navy logistics is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Navy shipping and receiving documentation is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid driver's license.
