Albany Med is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist II to join our Transplant Immunology team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the detection and diagnosis of disease.
Key Responsibilities- Perform testing and compile reports on laboratory specimens
- Utilize knowledge and clinical laboratory experience to perform testing in an accurate and timely manner
- Exercise independent judgment and responsibility with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with customers and employees to provide effective written and verbal communication
- Maintain and perform quality control procedures
- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology
- Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician or Technologist by the NYSED
- Minimum number of credit hours in the sciences and clinical education in an accredited Clinical Laboratory Technology program
This role requires standing, walking, and lifting frequently. You will also be exposed to infectious and hazardous chemicals as outlined in the department's Chemical Hygiene Plan.
