The Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) is currently seeking a skilled Signal Processing Engineer to support cutting-edge Electronic Warfare (EW) programs in Arlington, VA or San Diego, CA.

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the robustness and efficacy of sensors and signals in complex environments. Your contributions will drive advancements in research and advanced applications, directly supporting ongoing and future EW programs.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing, modeling, and testing algorithms in Matlab, Simulink, or C++;
  • Analyzing results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trends;
  • Developing novel and advanced algorithms, performance simulation, and analysis using simulated and real data in both time series and spectral domains;
  • Participating in lab-based and field testing;
  • Supporting marketing and business development initiatives;
  • Engaging in multiple projects, interacting with Customers as well.

To be successful in this position, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field;
  • At least 4 years of experience in radar signal processing;
  • Fluency with tools such as MATLAB, Linux, Mathematica, Python, Simulink, and languages like C/C++, Java, etc.;
  • A working knowledge of areas like digital filtering, spectral estimation, detection, and estimation theory, linear algebra, and stochastic processes;
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills;
  • The ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently;
  • Adaptability to new challenges with a strong motivation to grow and learn in new areas.

A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, as well as experience as a task lead or team leader, are preferred qualifications. Additionally, experience in areas like modeling and simulation (M&S), radar, adaptive radar, signals processing, algorithm development, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), or similar fields is highly valued.
