The Archdiocese of Baltimore’s Aftercare Program at St. Joseph School in Cockeysville is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for students aged 4-13. As a Lead Teacher or Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and development of our young students. Your responsibilities will include supervising students during free play and outdoor activities, planning engaging age-appropriate programs, and providing support with homework and academic tasks. The program operates Monday through Friday, 3-6 pm, with half-day sessions available from 11:45 am to 6 pm.



Key Responsibilities


  • Design and implement a program of instruction that aligns with the goals and objectives of the Aftercare Program.
  • Maintain accurate records, including observations, data collection, and input to the Director.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of student and staff information.
  • Provide active supervision and ensure the safety of students at all times.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and school administration to promote a cohesive and supportive learning environment.


Requirements


  • A minimum of a High School Diploma and 90-hour child care certification.
  • Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred, but not required.
  • A genuine passion for working with young students and their families.
  • A willingness to support the mission of the Catholic Faith and the Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic Schools.


Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is between $40,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and the requirements of the role. We offer a competitive compensation package that reflects the importance of this position in supporting the growth and development of our students.
