Job Summary

This role involves providing comprehensive clinical support to physicians, nurses, and patients in a fast-paced office setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling appointments, greeting and checking in/out visitors and patients, collecting deposits and co-pay amounts, and escorting patients to examination rooms.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. This position requires minimal supervision, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
  • Collect deposits and co-pay amounts at registration and check-out
  • Escort patients to examination rooms and complete pre-assessment vital signs
  • Prepare medication listings for physicians and review for accuracy
  • Contact physician offices and radiology centers for charts and reports
  • Maintain patient charts, complete disability forms, and manage HIPAA documents
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a High School Diploma or GED and certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is also required.

Able to lift and carry up to 24 pounds occasionally, with physical requirements primarily related to essential functions. Must be able to read and interpret business or safety manuals, clinical or technical procedures or regulations, write reports, correspondence and/or manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, patients, families, other employees and medical staff.
