Production Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Worker to join our team at Ingredion in Salem, OR.
Job Summary:The Production Worker is responsible for assisting with the operation and monitoring of food processing equipment in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the operation and monitoring of processing equipment in accordance with internal specifications.
- Accurately document production activities using HACCP forms, sanitation checklists, and daily production reports.
- Perform accurate testing of in-process product samples.
- Transfer information from one source to another with accuracy.
- Understand and follow simple and complex instructions in verbal, diagram, and written form.
- Perform pre-operation sanitation inspections of equipment with QC to ensure product safety.
- Work in a physically demanding job with exposure to hot and cold temperatures, high noise levels, water, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.
- Excellent attendance and ability to recognize problems in your area and notify the appropriate person.
- Awareness of product flow and its impact on your area.
- Communicate any problems with equipment or product at shift change.
- Keep your area safe and clean across all shifts.
- Communicate any hazards at shift change.
- Ensure your area is left in good shape for the next shift.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift over 50 pounds.
- 20/40 vision in both eyes with or without correction.
- Forklift certification.
- Basic math skills, including common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve practical problems in situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- GMP and HACCP knowledge.
- Team-oriented, honest, reliable, and dependable.
- Ability to drive personal and organizational results, take educated risks, and benchmark external best practices.
- Knowledge of customers, markets, and business to ensure plan delivery.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and promote bold thinking.
