Postdoctoral Researcher in Hematology-Oncology

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join our research team in the Division of Hematology-Oncology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects focused on developing new targeted therapies for breast and pancreatic cancer, studying dysregulated myelopoiesis in breast cancer, and working independently on research projects designed together with mentors.
Key Responsibilities
The Postdoctoral Scholar will be responsible for:
* Developing and implementing research techniques such as cell and molecular biology, including flow cytometry, cell proliferation, apoptosis, Western blot assays, etc.
* Handling of mice models to study tumor biology and the microenvironment and drug development
* Documenting research results and writing reports of results for presentation and/or publication in professional journals
* Assisting in maintaining the functionality and operations of the Principal Investigator's laboratory
* Working as part of a team and following all safety rules while on the job
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, or a related field, and a Ph.D. or M.D. degree. No prior experience as a Postdoctoral Scholar is required.
