Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration of medications and treatments, take vital signs, and/or draw blood or collect other bodily fluids, as directed by a physician or nurse.
- Bathe, groom, shave, and dress clients to promote their personal hygiene and dignity.
- Conduct activities for recreation and socialization to enhance the quality of life for our clients.
- Ensure the safety and security of clients by monitoring their behavior and activity, and reporting any concerns to the nursing staff.
- Feed clients who are unable to feed themselves, promoting their nutritional needs and comfort.
- Observe and document patient data, behavior, and activity to provide valuable insights for our healthcare team.
- Prepare clients for treatment or examination by assisting with their physical and emotional needs.
- Provide clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed to promote their mobility and independence.
- Transport and/or accompany clients to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher, to ensure their safe and comfortable transfer.
- Receive additional training, as required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas of patient care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in patient care or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
