MRI Radiographer

Penn Medicine is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of MRI and MRA procedures, ensuring patient safety protocols are in place, and assisting radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Responsibilities- Verify patient identification, diagnosis, and prescription, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Obtain patient history, screen for surgeries and implanted items, and obtain consent for contrast as needed.
- Operate MRI scanners, RF coils, and patient monitoring equipment to produce high-quality images.
- Archive and verify MRI images, ensuring compliance with section protocols.
- Perform quality assurance testing and monitor patient status, tolerance, and wellbeing throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists, doctors, and other UPHS team members to complete procedures according to applicable protocol.
- Comply with OSHA, TJC, DOH, and other mandated safety procedures or regulations.
- Maintain inventory supplies, rotating stock and eliminating outdated items.
- Respond to emergency situations according to department policies.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships and partnerships within the facility and with outside customers.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Radiologic Technologist certification
- ARRT MRI certification
- At least 12 months of experience
- Maintain CEUs
