Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Physician to join our team at Peninsula Community Health Services. As a Pediatric Physician, you will be responsible for providing primary medical care to patients, promoting health, and preventing disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice medicine within the scope of our primary care program, analyzing medical history, reports, and examination results to determine conditions and provide appropriate treatments.
  • Promote health by advising patients on diet, behaviors, and methods for preventing disease.
  • Perform procedures within the scope of our primary care program and the provider's surgical competency and privileges.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists for consultant services when necessary.
  • Assist in outreach efforts as requested.
  • Share in after-hours coverage and calls as appropriate.
  • Mentor Advance Practice Clinicians as needed.
  • Supervise and review services provided by Physician Assistants as required by WAC and our practice protocols.
  • Familiar with using electronic health records (e.g., Athena).
  • Monitor and oversee relevant provider and care staff to ensure delivery of care.
Qualifications
  • Active MD or DO license in Washington State (required).
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (preferred).
  • MAT Waiver within 120 days of hire (required).
  • Active DEA Certification (required).
  • Active CPR Certification (required).
  • Valid driver's license (required).

Starting Salary: $175,000 Annually

The ideal candidate will also have time-management and organizational skills, including being punctual, responsive, and efficient.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

We have multiple locations and settings, and the work environment and physical demands vary greatly depending on the employee's role. Essential job functions include talking, hearing, seeing, smelling, sitting, and standing. The employee is frequently required to move around the facility, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
