Job Overview

SUMMARY The role involves maintaining cleanliness and order within facilities. Responsibilities include performing extensive cleaning tasks such as scrubbing floors, maintaining hallways, and washing walls and windows.

Additional duties may involve overseeing heating systems, conducting routine maintenance, reporting repair needs, and clearing walkways of snow or debris.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure building security and safety by executing tasks such as locking entrances after hours and monitoring the use of electrical appliances to prevent hazards.
  • Maintain, clean, and restock restroom facilities.
  • Collect and dispose of waste materials.
  • Clean floors using various methods including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Adhere to procedures for utilizing chemical cleaners and equipment to avoid damage to surfaces and fixtures.
  • Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water with detergents or acids as per specifications.
  • Perform floor maintenance tasks such as stripping, sealing, finishing, and polishing.
  • Inform management of significant repair needs or enhancements to building systems.
  • Order necessary supplies and equipment for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and project guidelines, including the use of required personal protective equipment. Perform additional duties as necessary.
