Job Summary

As a Preventative Maintenance Technician at Walmart, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements on all Walmart equipment, including trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and shop equipment.
  • Assess maintenance, repair, and replacement needs, and identify required parts and possible solutions.
  • Conduct maintenance, repairs, and replacements following company and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and requirements.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and associates verbally and in writing.
  • Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling, ensuring safety compliance and following procedures for fuel additives.
  • Monitor tank levels before and after the drop, collect and prepare fuel samples for analysis and shipping, and complete appropriate paperwork.
Requirements
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
  • Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Office and ASE Certification.
