Position: Automotive Manufacturing Support Specialist

Location: Detroit, MI (Onsite role)

Contract Duration: 6 Months with potential for full-time employment (sponsorship available)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS


• A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering is required.


• 1-2 years of experience in the automotive manufacturing sector, including roles in sales, procurement, quality assurance, production, or design.


• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Catia V5 for gathering design specifications such as Bill of Materials (BOM) and surface treatment details is advantageous.


• Strong communication skills are essential, with a confidence in engaging with clients.


• Previous experience collaborating with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and clients is highly desirable.


• Understanding of the sales process from OEMs to Tier 1 suppliers, including quotation procedures and detailed responses regarding part costs, tooling expenses, capital investments, and packaging requirements for global OEMs.


• Knowledge of how OEMs interact with Tier 1 suppliers, including processes and customer/supplier portals, is a plus.


• A solid grasp of component and tooling cost structures is necessary.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis, trend evaluation, and the preparation of written communications and presentations.


• Strong organizational and communication abilities, both verbal and written.


• Capability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.


• A high level of dedication, sound judgment, and proactive initiative.


• Ability to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and maintaining a professional demeanor.


• Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting, demonstrating proactivity and independence from daily supervision.
