Knowhirematch is seeking a skilled Survey Party Chief to lead our field survey crews in making plane and/or geodetic surveys for construction, topographic, right-of-way, and control survey projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project team to ensure successful project execution.

* Assign and monitor work of field survey crew members, providing input for evaluation and growth opportunities.

* Instruct and train survey crew in survey and mapping methods, use of equipment, and field safety procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.

* Gather field survey data through conventional and Global Positioning System (GPS) methods, including setting up, adjusting, and operating surveying equipment.

* Prepare field notes and drawings, and perform complex surveying calculations using engineering calculator and laptop computer.

* Prepare finished grade sheets, topographic maps, records of survey, corner records, and other survey reports.

* Research existing record information, including record maps, plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents, and maintain field data records, survey project files, and indexing systems.

Requirements:

* Minimum 3+ years of relevant survey construction experience with heavy highway/bridge projects.

* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and translate them into survey data for layout in the field.

* Proficiency in CAD and Excel.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
