Strategic Program Manager for Student Success

Hofstra University is a nationally recognized institution seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Associate Dean to join our team in the NOAH Scholars Program. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in the management and administration of the program, driving student success and expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Student Support and Guidance: Provide academic guidance and support to students, conducting regular meetings to discuss progress, tutoring needs, and program adjustments.
- Program Development and Implementation: Collaborate with the Dean to develop, maintain, and implement NOAH policies and procedures related to advising, retention, and academic support initiatives.
- Counseling and Student Services: Oversee the counseling component, ensuring effective implementation and providing written reports to the Dean.
- Summer Program Coordination: Lead the planning, organization, and execution of all facets of the NOAH Summer Program.
- Recruitment and Outreach: Engage in ongoing recruitment efforts to attract NOAH students, advocating for the program's mission and benefits.
- Professional Development: Attend relevant conferences, seminars, and workshops to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
- Long-term Planning and Evaluation: Collaborate with the Dean on long-term planning and program evaluation to drive enhancements.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate major program projects as assigned by the Dean, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Representation and Collaboration: Represent the NOAH Scholars Program at networking events and serve on university committees.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in advising and counseling, preferably within higher education or related academic settings, working with diverse populations.
- Availability: Full availability during June through August for preparation and participation in the NOAH Summer Program.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Ellucian Banner, Navigate, Canvas, and Slate.
- Soft Skills: Strong skills in quantitative analysis, presentation, and communication, both orally and in writing. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a related field, at least 3-4 years of experience in student programming, development, coordination, workshop facilitation, and event management within a higher education setting.
