Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Dean to join our NOAH Scholars Program team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the program's administration, budget management, student recruitment, and staff training. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic leader to make a meaningful impact on the academic success of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Program Administration: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the NOAH Scholars Program, ensuring its smooth functioning and alignment with the university's goals.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the program's budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial regulations.
- Student Recruitment: Collaborate with the Dean to develop and implement strategies for recruiting and retaining students in the NOAH Scholars Program.
- Staff Training: Provide training and support to program staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services to students.
- Evaluation and Reporting: Conduct regular evaluations of the program's effectiveness and prepare reports for the Dean and other stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in advising and counseling, preferably within higher education or related academic settings.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Ellucian Banner, Navigate, Canvas, and Slate; strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Qualifications: Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Master's degree in related field.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in student programming, development, coordination, workshop facilitation, and event management within a higher education setting.
- Bilingual candidates a plus.
Hofstra University offers a competitive salary range of $76,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering diversity in our faculty, administrative staff, and student body.
