Job Title: Diesel Technician/Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team at Ryder System in Philadelphia, PA.

Job Summary:

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines. The successful candidate will perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electronic problems, and perform facility maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
  • Perform facility maintenance duties
  • Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task
  • Perform other support duties as required to support operations
Requirements:
  • Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
