Diesel Mechanic Technician

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Philadelphia, PA.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician to support our Truck Fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair of automotive gas and diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance and component inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
- Performs standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections
- Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems and performs repairs as required
- Replaces defective components as instructed
- Performs facility maintenance duties and interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of complaints
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
