Job Description

Electrical Consultants, Inc. is seeking a skilled designer to support the conceptual, preliminary, and final design of substation and transmission line projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing complete drawings, electrical single lines, and schematics, as well as demonstrating personal development of technical knowledge through interface with the engineering departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing detailed drawings and schematics for substation and transmission line projects.
  • Collaborating with design teams to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery.
  • Developing and maintaining advanced skill levels through software upgrades and training.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to less-experienced designers and drafting personnel.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in electric substation design, including schematics, wiring diagrams, physical layout, and facility design.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, results-oriented, and capable of completing design assignments with minimal direction.
  • A strong work ethic with attention to detail, quality, schedule, and budget.
