Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center/Penn State College of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Program Director of Diagnostic Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging. This leadership role will oversee the largest section in the Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute, which includes multiple clinical, teaching, and research programs in cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and interventional radiology.
Responsibilities:- Direct the Diagnostic Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging Program
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals in the development and implementation of clinical, teaching, and research programs
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to advance the mission of the Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute
- Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to ensure the success of the program
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiology and cardiac imaging to ensure the program remains at the forefront of medical research and practice
- Medical degree (M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent)
- Board certification in Cardiology
- Eligibility for licensure in the State of Pennsylvania
- Experience in cardiac imaging preferred; expertise in any non-invasive area of cardiology will be considered
- Experience and interest in research, including obtaining peer-reviewed funding
- Academic rank, including tenure track, commensurate with qualifications
- Potential joint appointment in Radiology
