Position Overview:
ResourceMFG is excited to present an opportunity for a Cost Estimator within a dynamic fabrication shop setting. We are looking for a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Estimating team.

Compensation:
Competitive pay based on experience.

Work Schedule:
Standard hours from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Cost Estimator, your primary duties will include:
  • Assessing the costs associated with precision sheet metal fabrication and machining.
  • Obtaining quotes for various materials such as hardware, sheet metal, bar stock, and coatings.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • Sheet Metal Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a precision sheet metal job shop environment.
  • Proficiency in reading advanced blueprints for sheet metal and machined components.
  • Strong understanding of trigonometry and flat pattern layout.
  • Hands-on experience in a job shop setting is advantageous.

Machining Experience:
Additionally, candidates should have:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Knowledge of general and aerospace specifications related to heat treating and process specifications.
  • Expertise in estimating machining times for aluminum components.
  • Ability to identify when tooling or fixtures are necessary.
  • Understanding of geometric tolerancing and material size selection.
  • Experience with MasterCAM, FABRIWIN, or AP-100 is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Language Skills:
Effective communication in English is required.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years in a relevant field is essential.
