Safety Support Associate Pathway Home

PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Safety Support Associate to join our Interim Housing Services team at the Pathway Home Signal Hill office location. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our program participants and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor the site's facilities and grounds for any concerns and report any issues to the Associate Director.
- Build rapport with participants to engage them in maintaining safety at the site and provide assistance and support when crisis situations arise.
- Coordinate with the onsite case management team to provide support to the interim housing site.
- Conduct regular rounds of the interim housing site and facility grounds and communicate and observed discrepancies or concerns.
- Assist the Associate Director with drafting written documentation and written correspondence regarding the safety and security of the site.
- One (1) year experience working with vulnerable populations and/or security and/or de-escalation/nonviolent crisis intervention.
- Ability to work effectively with others, seeking out and building positive working relationships with colleagues, participants, and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to individuals and groups.
