About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Ambulatory Psychotherapist to join our team of dedicated caregivers. As a Licensed Independent Practitioner, you will provide clinical mental health diagnoses and treatment plans to patients in an ambulatory adult practice setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a minimum of clinical patient care hours per week, face-to-face with patients in the office or via virtual visit.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, coordinating with patients and other relevant practitioners as needed.
  • Provide individual, group, family, couples, and crisis counseling, as well as coordinate higher levels of care for patients with severe mental health conditions.
  • Act as a liaison with patients, families, community support workers, and facilities to obtain information and provide resources to support mental health needs.
  • Document patient care thoroughly and accurately, supporting clinical diagnoses and billing.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor (LISW-S) certification.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a behavioral health setting, with comprehensive knowledge of current psychotherapeutic techniques, theories, and practices.
