Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Hadley, Massachusetts.

About the Role:

The Occupational Therapist on the Behavioral Health Unit is responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to inpatients on Cooley Dickinson's West 5 unit. This position reports to the Assistant Clinical Manager, Behavioral Health and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate, plan, and deliver quality occupational therapy services to inpatients.
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school is required.
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • De-escalation training within 90 days from hire, as well as ongoing re-training as required.
  • Occupational therapy experience in a mental health setting is preferred, including the ability to facilitate groups.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of occupational therapy skills to include recreation, activity, and/or creative therapies are required.
