Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, this role involves a range of responsibilities utilizing various tools and materials to uphold cleanliness standards and ensure a safe environment within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Safety Compliance: Adhere to departmental protocols to maintain a secure environment. This includes setting up equipment with necessary supplies, promptly addressing any discrepancies, completing scheduled tasks, and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- 2. Sanitation Duties: Conduct thorough cleaning of all areas to ensure sanitary conditions. This involves high dusting, cleaning furniture and surfaces, maintaining bathrooms, and ensuring all dispensers are stocked.
- 3. Waste Management: Perform various waste removal tasks to maintain cleanliness. This includes collecting recycling and medical waste, ensuring proper disposal, and managing confidential document containers.
- 4. Safe Handling Procedures: Follow established protocols for the handling and disposal of contaminated materials, ensuring safety measures are observed during all tasks.
- 5. Bed Management: Assist in managing room availability by maintaining turnaround times and ensuring accurate data entry into the bed management system.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: A minimum of six months of customer service experience is required. Successful completion of a training program provided by the Environmental Services Department is necessary.
Special Skills: Strong customer service and communication abilities are essential. Candidates should be capable of reading, writing, and performing basic mathematical tasks, as well as working independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
