We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at CarMax. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, reconditioning, and repairing vehicles to ensure our customers can drive away feeling safe and at ease.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, and brake systems
- Work collaboratively with other technicians to solve technical problems and meet deadlines
- Build expertise in a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles, including engine repair, steering and suspension, and heating and air conditioning
- Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and heating and air conditioning
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina, with ability to lift heavy objects and walk/stand for extended periods
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- ASE Certification in relevant areas (where required by State/Local law)
