Job Summary

The Christ Hospital Cardiovascular Associates is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team. As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in the success of our clinical trials by ensuring the smooth execution of research protocols, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Assist in the initiation and maintenance of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with FDA guidelines and hospital policies.
  • Patient Care: Provide high-quality patient care, including educating patients on research protocols, verifying inclusion/exclusion criteria, and facilitating testing and procedures.
  • Research Coordination: Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff to ensure research and clinical needs are met, verify patient scheduling, and maintain control of drug/device inventory.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with IRB/FDA and protocol expectations, report serious adverse events, and maintain accurate records.
  • Enrollment and Participation: Facilitate high patient enrollment and participation in research protocols, identify potential research patients, and communicate with physicians and screeners to facilitate the process.
  • Training and Education: Provide ongoing education to patients and family members on the risks/benefits of the study, and train research staff members on study-related procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: RN Diploma degree or Associates in Nursing required, BSN preferred, BSN must be obtained within 5 years of date of hire.
  • Experience: 3-5 years critical care experience required with 3 years clinical research and FDA/IRB regulations operations preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Licensed and Registered by the State of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
