About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director Planning to join our team at Express. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive sales and inventory management across various categories of business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute preseason financial plans that align with merchandise and assortment planning strategies.
  • Lead a team to analyze and plan preseason category and assortment plans to support a strategic view of merchandise line (SVL).
  • Direct and guide development of sales and margin targets for areas of responsibility through adoption and engagement, and execution of the Go To Market process.
  • Manage and develop merchandise and associate merchandise planners.
  • Represent gender (or channel) as proxy for VP/SVP when necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of merchandise/planning experience.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Retail math expertise.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
