Position Overview:

The Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) and the Telemetry unit (H303) serves as an authority in the application of nursing processes and theories within a specialized domain. The main responsibility of the Clinical Nurse Specialist is to enhance patient care directly as an expert clinical practitioner and indirectly in roles such as educator, consultant, researcher, change agent, collaborator, clinical leader, role model, and patient advocate.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited nursing program is required.
  • Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Maryland, along with a current designation as an APRN from the Maryland Board of Nursing, which includes certification and a separate CNS License.
  • A minimum of three years of full-time experience in the relevant specialty area.
  • Active BLS CPR certification.
