Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Troup County Schools. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing prevention, assessment, and remediation services for students who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice, and fluency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and implement speech-language services to support the curriculum and instruction for students with disabilities.
  • Consult with school teams to identify students who may need speech-language services and develop recommendations for intervention.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to provide students with access to and advance within the curriculum.
  • Manage facilities, materials, and equipment necessary for the delivery of services.
  • Maintain confidentiality of students and student records.
  • Communicate with educational teams, including parents, regarding students' speech-language needs, services, and progress.
Requirements
  • Valid certificate in Speech Language Pathology; S-5
  • Reports to Principals of assigned schools and the Exceptional Education Coordinator
  • Supervises SLP-Assistants if assigned
Working Environment

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a fast-paced educational environment, requiring strong communication and organizational skills. The position requires daily attendance and punctuality to ensure the goals of the work unit are met.
